We're glad to see you. This week's meeting is about
Balance & The Center of Gravity

The idea for the meeting came when we started fooling around with some drinking straws.

We tried to balance the straws on our fingers but they kept falling over.

We decided we needed some extra weight to balance the weight of the straw.

We found a few things we could use for weights (metal washers, scissors) and we thought we could attach them somehow with pipe cleaners.

We tried to figure out how we could use some of these materials to solve our problem and make the straw balance.

We Did It

We know you can do it too.   SO ...........

Before you click on the arrow, why don't you see if you can figure out a way to make a straw (or a pencil) balance on your finger tip.

You can use the same materials we used, or you can come up with your own ideas.

There isn't any RIGHT WAY to do it. Your way is as good as any, as long as it works!

Have fun!

We try to keep our meetings short.  To learn more about GRAVITY & BALANCE click here.
